After much consideration, and some nagging from friends, I’ve decided to create a Facebook account for Dream by Day book reviews. Originally, I wasn’t sure whether or not Facebook would be a relevant platform for my blog, but I’ve decided to give it a try! This way many of my friends (yes, the same friends who wouldn’t join a book club) can view my reviews easily, especially if they don’t have WordPress accounts.
Click here to check it out for yourself! I would love to connect with you on Facebook as well as through the blog!
I also want to say thank you all for the support and interaction – this book blogging community is such a considerate and intelligent group of people and I have so enjoyed connecting with you all!
Agreed, the book blogging community is wonderful!! I’m interested to see how well your Facebook platform takes off. I’ve got a Facebook author’s page but haven’t done anything with it yet because I’m not sure how to.

I’m excited to see how it goes as well! I feel like a Facebook page would be a great place for authors to engage with readers!

Good choice! I’ve heard from other book bloggers Facebook is really great for those that don’t have WordPress/Twitter/other social media.

That’s what I’m hoping!

Liked 🙂 I have a Facebook page as well for my blog but I guess I’m doing something wrong because I’m not seeing much going on there ☺️

Out of curiosity, do you every think about using a public platform for your blog instead of wordpress?

That’s a good question. I have, but I need to do more research on it. Currently, I feel like it’s easier to comment/like posts on WordPress than it would be on another platform.. Have you thought about using a public platform?

I’ve given it some thought. I’m not sure how complex it would be. I understand the blogs get promoted better through search engines if you actually have a .com address. The cost is relatively minimal I believe.

I didn’t realize that, but more traffic is definitely something to consider!
